Humane, a business formed by ex-Apple Inc (AAPL.O) employees that received $100 million earlier this year, announced on Friday that its wearable device would feature Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM.O) chips.

“Ai Pin,” a device Humane announced on Friday, has no release date or other specifications. This year, Humane co-founder and President Imran Chaudhri showed the Ai Pin, an internet-connected lapel pin that can answer spoken queries and display information on the user’s hand.

Humane opposes Apple’s Vision Pro mixed-reality headset, with Chaudhri stating that “the future is not on your face.” Humane also trademarked that slogan.

The Ai Pin uses artificial intelligence to communicate with users in natural language without a screen or keyboard.

The Humane’s investors include Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) and ChatGPT founder OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman. Humane and OpenAI collaborate on AI and cloud computing.

Humane and Qualcomm did not specify which Qualcomm chips the Ai Pin would use. Still, Qualcomm’s vice president of business development, Dev Singh, said the offerings would come from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon family, which can power smartphones to mixed-reality headsets.
