Release date and Pricing:
The price of this new handset is $949 and comes with a single configuration of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. In the US, AT&T and T-Mobile will have this phone and in the UK, you will be able to get if from Vodafone, O2, Carphone Warehouse, EE, and Virgin Media. However, people in Australia won’t be able to get the phone as the company no longer sells in that country.
Display:
The Sony Xperia 5 II features a full HD Plus Display, rather than the 6.5-inch display of the Xperia 1 II. Moreover, the display has a 120Hz refresh rate. This means that the screen refreshes twice as fast as the older phones.

The colors on the display look amazing when the screen reaches high peak brightness. Moreover, the screen has a 21:9 aspect ratio which means that it is longer and taller than the screens on most smartphones. It’s specially designed for watching video content, like films that are exclusively shot in a widescreen ratio.
Cameras:
The Xperia 5 II has three rear cameras and a single front-facing camera. This means that the phone has a powerful camera array and it is for people who want to do much more than simply take a snapshot. Moreover, the three rear cameras are all 12MP shooters. The front-facing camera is 8MP.
Just like other Xperia phones, the selfie camera is located in a solid bar above the screen, so there is no notch on the Xperia 5 II. So, the front of the phone isn’t all screen.

The Sony Xperia 5 II has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with 8GB of RAM. Although this isn’t the best Qualcomm chip, it allows you to do everything which its competitors can do.
The phone is available in two storage variants, 128GB and 256GB. However, some markets have only one option. If you are stuck with the 128GB, you can expand the space with a MicroSD card.
The phone has a built-in 5G, so you can make the most of the next-generation connectivity. Moreover, the phone runs Android 10. However, if you want the latest version, Android 11, the update is confirmed for this phone. However, we don’t know when it will release.
Battery Life:
The phone features a 4000-mAh battery, which is the same as Xperia I Mark II. The phone boasts fast charging. However, to get the most out of the charging capabilities, you will have to buy a separate charger.
The battery lasts a whole day on a full charge. Moreover, it will have 30% still left in the tank at the end of the day.
In the crux, you should buy the phone if you like smaller Sony phones and a strong camera. However, if you want a cheap phone, you should go for other options, like OnePlus 8 or the Sony Xperia 10 II.
