On Wednesday, a spokeswoman for China’s Ant Group said that the company’s technological research and development team is working on creating its own large-language model (LLM), which the company refers to internally as Zhenyi.
The news was first reported in Chinese media. However, there was no additional information regarding the model’s introduction to the public.
According to a report released by state-operated research institutes a month ago, Chinese organizations have increased their efforts to develop artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms by doubling down on attempts to develop 79 large-language models (LLMs) domestically during the past three years.
