TikTok said on Friday that its CEO, Shou Zi Chew, will meet with EU antitrust director Didier Reynders, EU digital leader Vera Jourova, and EU industry chief Thierry Breton in Brussels the following week.

Chew’s second trip to Brussels coincides with increased regulatory scrutiny of TikTok’s involvement in spreading misinformation in the wake of the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza and Hamas’ attack on Israel last month.

According to a TikTok representative, Chew will meet Breton on November 6 and Jourova and Reynders on November 7.

According to a TikTok representative, he will provide the commissioners with an update on the company’s data security policy known as Project Clover, which began locally storing user data from European users this year.

The firm is developing two new data centers in Ireland and Norway and one in Dublin, Ireland.

According to the spokesman, Chew will also advise them on the company’s adherence to the Digital Services Act and new EU regulations governing online material that force Big Tech to take more proactive measures to block dangerous and unlawful content from appearing on their platforms.

Last month, Breton gave TikTok until October 25 to submit details about its crisis management procedures. Additionally, he mandated that the business submit information by November 8 on how it safeguards children’s online safety and the integrity of elections on its platform.
