Zoom Video Communications Inc. (ZM.O) announced Tuesday that it invested an unknown amount in Anthropic and will integrate the artificial intelligence startup’s technology into its video-conferencing platform.

Zoom uses AI to compete with Microsoft Teams, the workplace video-conferencing leader.

Anthropic’s huge language model, Claude, will be integrated into Zoom’s platform.
Claude will first be integrated into Zoom Contact Center, a call center service, to perform activities similar to ChatGPT by reacting to requests with human-like writing.

Zoom partnered with OpenAI in March to bring AI-powered conversation summaries and message drafts to Zoom IQ.

Microsoft Teams launched a ChatGPT-powered premium edition in February, while Salesforce Slack (CRM.N) said it would incorporate ChatGPT into Slack.
