On Wednesday, Dutch energy provider Eneco announced it would construct a 50 MW battery energy storage project in Belgium utilizing Tesla battery packs.

The Tesla “Megapack” battery modules that make up this project at Ville-sur-Haine have a total capacity of 200 MWh, enough to power 200 homes for 4 hours.

As more and more power is generated from renewable sources like solar and wind, such storage projects are projected to become increasingly essential in the coming years.

Simply put, Mitsubishi Corp. (8058.T) of Japan owns Eneco.
