D-Link is showcasing tons of fresh products at CES 2020. These include new routers with mesh technology along with Wi-Fi 6 and the next-generation security cameras.
An exciting revelation is D-Link’s COVR X1870, which is a mesh Wi-Fi system. It provides dual-band AX1800 coverage up to 550 square meters.
Each unit comes along with a Gigabit WAN connector and four Gigabit LAN ports. Moreover, it supports Wi-Fi 6, along with 128-bit wireless encryption. It also features impressive built-in features, like profile-based parental control and Ookla internet speed test.
With the mesh systems, you can include a device at a later time if you wish to expand Wi-Fi coverage. Other router specifications include a dual-band AC1900 device and D-Link’s DIR-1950 MU-MIMO Gigabit Wi-Fi Router. It is Wi-Fi Easy Mesh with self-management capabilities and supports WPA3 on the security front.
D-Link also features the DIR-X1560 Smart Wi-Fi 6 Router that benefits from a 3-core processor. Moreover, it provides dual-band AX1500 Wi-Fi with MU-MIMO and OFDMA. The device also features a built-in Ookla internet speed test.
These products will come in the first quarter of this year. However, the X1870 won’t be available until Q2. Moreover, D-Link wraps from the new 5G hardware as well as the DWP-1020 5G NR Outdoor Unit. This is an outdoor access point which contains a 5Gbps Ethernet port along with a SIM slot. D-Link states that the unit contains 5G NR Sub-6GHz and mm-Wave. The release date for DWP-1020 is going to be the second half of 2020.
D-Link also entered the new generation of mydlink security cameras, which get benefit from edge-based person detection and clever AI. It also includes DCS-8627LH Full HD Outdoor Wi-Fi Spotlight camera, which also detects glass breaking.
The camera is IP65 waterproof and gets benefits from a 400 lumen LED spotlight and infrared vision. You get a siren and speaker with two-way audio capabilities. Moreover, the DCS-8627LH is Google Assistant and Alexa compatible. Thus, you can easily use voice commands to turn off the spotlight.
The other camera that was showcased was the DCS-8000LHV2 Mini Full Wi-Fi Camera, which is a security camera. It provides 1080p footage with 30 FPS. Moreover, another camera, DCS-8526LH Full HD Pro Wi-Fi Camera, was also revealed. It provides a 105-degree tilt with 340-degree panning, along with auto-motion tracking. All these cameras get the benefit of edge-based person detection. Moreover, they are compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa, and you can access them from anywhere. The cameras will be present in Q1 of 2020.
