According to a Wednesday filing in San Francisco federal court, Tesla Inc. (TSLA.O) settled a lawsuit against former engineer Alexander Yatskov for stealing trade secrets connected to its AI-training supercomputer Dojo.

Yatskov would pay the corporation, according to the joint filing, but the terms were confidential.

Both party did not reply to calls for comment.

Tesla sued Yatskov, a thermal engineer working on Dojo, a supercomputer that would “help solve difficult engineering problems, such as vehicle autonomy.” The company said Yatskov was hired last January and resigned in May after being placed on administrative leave.

Tesla sued Yatskov that month for storing Dojo data on his computer. The lawsuit also claimed Yatskov gave Tesla a “dummy” computer to investigate to “cover his tracks.”

Yatskov told the court that Tesla filed the case on his last day of work and that he turned over the company’s materials.

In the Wednesday filing, Yatskov admitted to moving private Tesla information to his personal computer during his job. Still, he maintained that he only retained it for business and deleted it afterward.

Last August, a San Francisco federal judge rejected Yatskov’s request to keep the matter in federal court so he could publicly dispute Tesla’s accusations, which the engineer called “humiliating.”
