Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold: New Leak Reveals Display Specs, Triple-Panel Thickness, and a 200MP Camera

Samsung showcased the upcoming Z TriFold at an event in Korea, and you can get a clearer look at it in this video.

Samsung’s long-anticipated tri-fold smartphone is edging closer to launch, with fresh leaks shedding light on its potential specifications. Widely expected to be introduced as the Galaxy Z TriFold, the device is rumored to make its debut as early as next month, marking a major leap forward in Samsung’s foldable lineup.

Massive Displays With Flagship-Level Brightness

A new report from reliable industry source Evan Blass has revealed key display specifications for the upcoming device. According to the leak, the Galaxy Z TriFold may feature a 6.5-inch cover display and an expansive 10-inch inner screen that appears when the phone fully unfolds.

Both panels are designed to deliver high brightness levels, with the outer screen reaching up to 2,600 nits—ideal for outdoor visibility—while the inner display is rated at 1,600 nits, offering vivid color and clarity in a larger canvas.

This setup positions the TriFold as a hybrid between a traditional smartphone and a compact tablet, targeting users who want productivity and entertainment in a single device.

Flagship Camera Power: 200MP Main Sensor

Another highlight of the leak is the camera system. The Galaxy Z TriFold is reportedly equipped with a 200-megapixel primary camera, signaling Samsung’s intent to match or exceed the imaging performance of its top-tier Galaxy S series devices.

A sensor of this caliber suggests support for advanced zoom capabilities, high-resolution photography, and improved low-light imaging—features that could give the tri-fold design more appeal among creators and mobile photographers.

Battery Capacity and Performance Expectations

Blass also notes that the tri-fold device may house a 5,437mAh rated battery, a sizeable capacity considering its multi-panel design and large inner display. This should help balance the power demands of the bigger screen, high brightness, and multitasking features expected from a device of this category.

On the performance side, the Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to run on a Snapdragon chipset, aligning with Samsung’s strategy for premium foldables. This would likely provide strong performance for gaming, heavy apps, and multi-window workflows—one of the main attractions of a tri-fold form factor.

Triple-Panel Build: Varying Thickness Revealed

One of the most interesting details is the construction of the three display segments. According to the leak, the unfolded panels will each have slightly different thickness levels:

  • 3.9 mm
  • 4.0 mm
  • 4.2 mm

This variation is likely the result of hinge engineering, internal layering, and reinforcement around different sections of the foldable display.

A previous rumor also claimed that the Galaxy Z TriFold will measure approximately 14 mm thick when folded, placing it in the same thickness category as current book-style foldables despite its more complex design.

A Major Milestone for Foldable Smartphones

If these specifications prove accurate, Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold could become one of the most groundbreaking mobile devices of the year. The combination of a 10-inch tri-fold display, ultra-bright panels, a 200MP camera, and a sizeable battery underscores Samsung’s push toward redefining multitasking and mobility.

As leaks continue to build momentum, anticipation is rising for what could be the most ambitious addition to Samsung’s foldable ecosystem yet.
