TikTok’s Series feature is now available in 94 countries. Creators can paywall a “series” of exclusive content.
Series, introduced in March, lets customers earn up to $190 on their film library. Creators can also make 20-minute videos. Regular TikTok videos are 10 minutes. Eighty videos max per Series.
Creators must meet several standards for monetization. They must be 18 or older, live in a selected location, have 10,000 followers, and have a 30-day-old account. They also need three public videos and 1,000 views in 30 days. The user must not have consistently broken TikTok’s Community Guidelines.
TikTok developers can circumvent the 10,000-follower minimum. Creators with 1,000 followers can apply but must connect to premium material sold on other platforms. This doesn’t ensure acceptance. The TikTok Creator Center allows Series applications.
TikTok promised to improve creator revenue in a post yesterday. “Series is in its early stages, and we’re continuously exploring ways to improve the experience for our creator community and the way creators are rewarded,” the business added. We welcome community comments!”
TikTok introduced two new creator funds last month: the Creativity Program for U.S. users to earn money for original videos over one minute and the Effect Creator Rewards for AR developers.
