Following its first introduction in the United States in August 2022, the cooperation between TikTok and Ticketmaster is now being expanded into twenty more nations. The arrangement allows users to find events and purchase tickets within the TikTok app, eliminating the need to exit the app.

The function is currently accessible in the following countries: the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Germany, France, Canada, Mexico, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, Spain, and Sweden.

TikTok users in these countries may now utilize the Ticketmaster ticketing function to promote their live dates and interact with new and current followers on the site. This is accomplished by adding links to their Ticketmaster events to their videos before uploading them.

Niall Horan, The Kooks, Burna Boy, Bianca Costa, Grand Corps Malade, DJ Snake, and Shania Twain are just some of the musicians that have benefited from the relationship, according to TikTok, which has led to successful ticketing campaigns for both up-and-coming artists and well-known artists. In addition, the business claims that since the beta version of the app was released, there have been more than 2.5 billion views of films that use the in-app capabilities.

Michael Kummerle, who is the Global Music Partnership Development Lead for TikTok, made the following comment in response to the announcement: “By enabling fans to buy tickets directly through TikTok, we are giving artists the opportunity to reach ticket buyers in a whole new way and changing the game for live events around the world.” We think that by bringing fans closer to the artists and events they love, we will be able to give more value to all artists during all phases of their careers and create more chances for an expanding audience.

The partnership between Ticketmaster and TikTok is not the only important platform in recent years. A relationship between the firm and Snapchat allows users to be matched with live events that are taking place in their immediate vicinity. Additionally, the company has a partnership with YouTube that enables users to locate Ticketmaster events immediately on the watch page. In addition, it has a partnership with Spotify that allows it to present consumers with tailored event suggestions.
