On Wednesday, the colossal social media company Meta Platforms (META.O) said it had begun the rollout of generative artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. These tools are able to generate material for marketers, such as picture backdrops and variants of written text, and can do so automatically.
In May, the business began testing these capabilities by providing access to a limited number of marketers participating in a “testing playground.” The distribution of the tools will be finished the following year, at which point they will be available in Meta’s Ads Manager.
With this deployment, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram is making its first attempt to incorporate generative AI technology into its platforms. This technology will mine enormous stockpiles of historical data to produce new materials such as text, artwork, and computer code.
The firm announced the upcoming capability for enterprises to employ artificial intelligence for business communications on Messenger and WhatsApp to communicate with consumers the previous week.
Meta offers the “Llama 2” language model and an AI chatbot known as Meta AI in its lineup of artificial intelligence products. The latter can produce photo-realistic visuals and text answers.
