Monday June 19th 2023, JLR announced a partnership with supply chain mapping and risk analytics firm Everstream Analytics to integrate artificial intelligence into its system to prevent global supply concerns.

JLR said its new AI technology would enable real-time supply chain monitoring and EV production protection.
JLR, a company of Tata Motors (TAMO.NS), said Everstream’s technology had helped it deliver automobiles to clients without hindrance at worldwide freight ports.

“Through our collaboration with Everstream Analytics, we are harnessing the power of AI to manage risks before they disrupt production proactively,” stated JLR’s executive director for industrial operations, Barbara Bergmeier.

The system plots natural disasters, strikes, data breaches, and export concerns on a global map using AI, predictive analytics, machine learning, and human intuition.
After the pandemic, many startups and logistics organizations have formed a multi-billion dollar industry using AI and machine learning to reduce supply chain disruption.

A global semiconductor chip shortage led major carmakers to cut manufacturing of some models, especially JLR.

The carmaker accounted for two-thirds of Tata’s revenue in the most recent quarter.
