Sharknado 6: Here We Go Again

Sharknado 6.

We’ve come a long way.

I’m not sure we’ve come the right way

But we’re here now.

Sharknado 6: It’s About Time is the latest installment in the ever-expanding Sharknado universe. It’s a film that’s even less concerned with the suspension of disbelief than the likes of Marvel and DC films. Forget about suspending your disbelief. Just get rid of it. It has no place where we’re going.

The film takes the classic, beloved, and entirely forgettable original Sharknado cast back in time to the first Sharknado… ever. For those who missed some of the other Sharknado films (Shame on you), the “Sharknado” has expanded well past the one tornado. Each film has introduced an increasing number of ‘nados, and they’ve wreaked havoc across the East Coast, then the U.S., and finally…the whole world.

There’ve been HammerShark-nados and TigerShark-nados. There’ve been Oil-nados, Fire-nados, Bolder-nados, Sand-nados, and Lightning-nados. Hail-nados, Lava-nados, and Nuke-nados.

Cow-nados.

And from what this trailer seems to be hinting at, whatever ‘nado storm the crew is going to be facing off against in the start of this film is so bad that not even they can handle it. That’s what prompts them to head back in time to conquer the first-ever ‘nado… Once and for all.

But what happens once the crew kills the first Sharknado? Does everyone else ever killed by a ‘nado return from the dead? How does the original Sharknado cast even know to go back in time and destroy the first Sharknado if, after they succeed, there were no ‘nados to fight? We’ll have to wait until the film’s release to find out how it will blindly avoid answering any of those questions, just as it has done so with hundreds of relevant questions in movies past.

Sharknado 6’s release date is currently unknown. To make sure you don’t miss the launch, tune into SYFY right now and leave your TV on for about six months. You’ll catch it eventually.

I honestly had no clue that there were Sharknado films, aside from the first movie, of course. I can’t believe that they’re actually making a sixth movie. I agree, they really need to stop.
