Britain to host first worldwide AI safety forum.

The U.K. government said Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and U.S. President Joe Biden would address A.I. safety on Thursday ahead of a global summit later this year.

The British government said the summit would address A.I. concerns, particularly frontier systems, and how to reduce them globally. Date unknown.

British and U.S. sources said Biden and Sunak would meet for a fourth time in as many months on Thursday to coordinate their approaches on vital and emerging technologies to boost economic security.

According to the British government, Palantir Technologies, which employs over 800 Brits, will announce plans to make the U.K. Europe’s A.I. development center.

The government said Sunak would discuss the UK-U.S. relationship and how the two nations could work to strengthen their economies and build “joint leadership in the technologies of the future” with Biden.

After OpenAI’s ChatGPT, various countries are researching technology development risk reduction.

After visiting China, Elon Musk spoke with A.I. regulators. The Internet-like generative A.I. is being regulated globally.

Sunak will meet Biden at the White House on Thursday during his U.S. visit.
