More information on how to pre-order these editions of Fortnite is available on the Fortnite official website.

Fortnite was first announced back in 2011 at the Video Game Awards, according to GameSpot. There was no release date set at the time, which is why fans are only seeing the first glimpses of the game over five years later.

Along with their presentation at E3, Epic Games released a Fortnite E3 2017 gameplay trailer that can be found on the Fortnite official YouTube channel. After an event called “the Storm” hits and monsters begin to spawn, players must take it upon themselves to save the world — and themselves from this invasion. While using powerful weapons and traps to deter and destroy monsters, players will also have the opportunity to build incredible forts using the plethora of materials found in-game.

An Edit Mode option allows players to build forts to satisfy their needs and also build during an attack. An expansive weapon building system and skill trees (by earning cards with characters who all have different skills from one another) are also displayed in the trailer.

Fortnite will start off as early access than later become free-to-play when the full game is released sometime in 2018, according to this Fortnite official news update.
