Exclusive: EU official says Breton will demand Meta act against online child-sex content.

According to a European Union official on Thursday, EU industry director Thierry Breton will meet with Meta Platforms (META.O) director Executive Mark Zuckerberg on June 23 and urge that he take quick steps to fight online child-sex content.

According to Reuters, Breton will also urge Meta to show how it plans to comply with EU web content standards after August 25 or face severe penalties.
