All the wait for Samsung Galaxy S11 has ended because Samsung has just announced February 11 as the launch date of its smartphone.
Samsung is going to showcase the Galaxy S11 in San Francisco at 11 a.m. Pacific on February 11. This is the same as the launch time of Samsung Galaxy S10 last year. However, there are a few differences in 2020. We expect Samsung to launch three Galaxy S11 phones, instead of four. All four phones will be 5G. Thus, there will be no need for a sequel to Galaxy S10 5G. Although we expect the new phones to be called S11, there are rumors that Samsung will call it the Galaxy S20. You can read more about Samsung Galaxy S11 news and rumors here.
At the February 11 event, Samsung could also introduce the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
Moreover, if Samsung learns from its previous mistakes, the new model could launch on time. Last year, the Samsung Galaxy Fold was delayed up to five months. Moreover, it can take a different form, just like the flip phone present in the Samsung video back in October 2019.
Currently, we expect the Galaxy S11 to introduce an S11 Plus model, a base model, and an Ultra model, according to a recent rumor. This lineup will also offer different display sizes from 6.2 inches to 6.9 inches. Moreover, we expect the Snapdragon 865 chipset to be present in all the three models.
The event of Samsung’s launch lines up with the 2019’s timeline. Thus, we expect that the new Galaxy S11 phones will remain on sale until the end of February or early March, around MWC 2020. Last year, the phones released on March 8.
The launch of Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is a bit uncertain. We expect that the company will introduce a new foldable phone in the February event. However, there isn’t any reliable evidence concerning the next release date. There was a gap between the Galaxy S10 phones and the Galaxy Fold. Thus, the same thing could happen here.
We also don’t know whether the new flip phone will be like Moto Razr or whether the company will introduce a minitablet, with the same design but more refinements.
The February 11 event isn’t the only single place to see Samsung’s tech. The CES 2020 is also approaching, and we will keep you posted with the latest updates from Las Vegas.
