Twitter’s new CEO Linda Yaccarino is reportedly working on a video ads service, recruiting more celebrities and increasing personnel to woo back advertisers that left under Elon Musk, as the Financial Times (FT) reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, three insiders have confirmed that Yaccarino, who took over as CEO on June 5th, plans to implement full-screen, sound-on video advertising for Twitter’s new short-video stream.
She reportedly discusses expanding the scope of their partnership with Alphabet-owned (GOOGL.O) Google to include advertising and Twitter data.

A merger of Twitter’s current contracts with Amazon.com (AMZN.O), Salesforce (CRM.N), and IBM (IBM.N) is reportedly in the works.

Twitter did not reply to Reuters’ request for comment.

Earlier this month, Reuters reported that Twitter would expand beyond digital advertising by concentrating on video, creative, and commerce partnerships.

Months of turmoil followed Musk’s October acquisition of Twitter, during which the social media business lost hundreds of employees, was criticized for sloppy content control, and lost advertisers who didn’t want their advertisements next to poor content.
