Just a few days after releasing its super-premium MI 10 ultra, Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi 9, a budget phone released in the U.K.
Xiaomi Redmi 9 is the most affordable phone which the company offers. Its cost price is just $159, which is less than the Redmi Note 95. You can check out the phone here.
It will be even cheaper if you buy the phone before August 23, because the company offers a fitness tracker along with it. After that, it will be back to $159, which is a good price for a smartphone.
The Redmi Note 9 has a 6.53-inch screen with a resolution of 2340×1080. Moreover, several phones have extremely low resolutions, which is quite impressive for a phone of this price.
When we talk about the internals, it features a Mediatek Hello G80 processor. It also has 4GB RAM and a 64 GB processor. These specs aren’t that awesome but still good for a phone priced around $200.
The battery is quite impressive at 5200mAh. It’s the biggest one we have seen for the Xiaomi phones. Moreover, the phone has a relatively smaller screen in comparison to other Redmi headsets. So the phone could last around two days of use.
The phone features four rear cameras, which are a 13MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro, and 2MP depth-sensing snapper, along with an 8MP camera in front. The Note series of Redmi has a 48MP and a 64MP camera, so the ones that are here are low resolution, which shows an overall low price.
Finally, the phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port. The later will impress some people as cheap phones often have a micro USB port, which slows the charging process.
You can check out the phone by going to Xiaomi’s website. Let’s hope that the phone doesn’t end up like a disaster, like some previous Xiaomi phones.
