X discusses using Amazon’s ad-buying software. According to a report in the Wall Street Journal on Friday that cited knowledgeable sources, Elon Musk’s social media platform X had considered working with Amazon.com (AMZN.O) to make X advertisements available through the online retailer’s ad-buying software.
The wealthy owner of the social media network recently called out advertisers who had left his site X due to the presence of antisemitic content.
There was no immediate response from Amazon or X to the requests for comment that Reuters made.
After Musk agreed with a post on X that erroneously claimed Jewish people were fanning hatred against white people, many firms, including Comcast (CMCSA.O) and Walt Disney (DIS.N), suspended their ads on the social networking site. Among the corporations included are Comcast and Walt Disney.
