Today, Amazon Luna enabled Fortnite to play on Fire TVs in the US, Canada, Germany, and the UK. Amazon Prime members may play the game immediately, while other consumers can play with a Luna+ membership or a free seven-day trial.
Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now provide free Fortnite, deleted from Apple and Google’s mobile app stores years ago. Now playable on Amazon Luna with a Prime or Luna+ subscription. Luna+ costs $9.99, and Prime $14.99.
Through the browser, Luna lets users play any Fortnite game mode on Amazon Fire TV, select smart TVs and streaming media players, PCs, MacBooks, Chromebooks, and iPhone and Android mobile devices. Amazon Luna needs at least 10 Mbps for Fortnite. Games may be played using Amazon’s Luna controller, PlayStation, Xbox, or mouse and keyboard.
In a blog post, Amazon’s vice president of Entertainment Devices and Services, Daniel Rausch, wrote that Fortnite was Luna users’ top requested game. “We want to make gaming more affordable without expensive hardware.”
