Twitter now enables two-hour videos for paying users.

Twitter now lets subscribers upload two-hour videos, up from 60 minutes.

The Twitter Blue page also upped the video file size limit for paying users from 2GB to 8 GB. In addition, the iOS app now allows longer video uploads. Despite these adjustments, the maximum upload quality remains 1080p.

The All In Podcast uploads episodes to Twitter using the long video upload capability. After being dismissed from Fox News, Tucker Carlson claimed he would launch a show on social media.


The social network started allowing long video uploads and consumption under Elon Musk. The company provided web playback speed options and extended video upload last December.

Musk repeatedly wants to turn Twitter into an “everything app” to compete with YouTube. He has added text formatting, raised the character limit to 10,000 for paying customers, and relaunched Super Follows as Subscriptions.

Linda Yaccarino of NBCU became CEO last week. Musk claimed he would remain chairman and serve as “CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.” Mastodon, Bluesky, and Post.News competes with Twitter. 60% of U.S. Twitter users took a sabbatical for several weeks last year, according to Pew.
