Today, Opera introduced “Aria,” an AI side panel powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT. According to the company, Aria, an online and browser specialist, helps users access information, write text or code, and get product questions answered. Test the new functionality.
Aria knows Opera’s “whole database of support documentation” and can answer inquiries concerning the browser. Opera says Aria uses its “composer” architecture, links to OpenAI’s GPT technology, and adds web results.
Aria is a free, internet-connected service with up-to-date information, unlike typical GPT-based solutions, which are limited to content until 2021. Aria launches in 180+ countries. Download the latest Opera One to test Aria. Android users can test Aria in the newest browser beta. As a tester, you only need to create an Opera account. The allowed listing status will be communicated via email or in-product. Opera One’s browser sidebar or Opera for Android beta’s settings let you access Aria after your Opera Account is allowed.
Opera’s latest release enhances its AI capabilities. Opera and Opera GX added ChatGPT and ChatSonic-powered generative AI chatbots earlier this year. Highlighting or entering page text generates AI prompts, according to the business. These chatbots can summarize articles or online pages, compose social media posts, or help you brainstorm with prompts.
Opera One, a new version of its flagship browser, was released last month with features aimed at a “generative AI-based future.”
Opera announced in a blog post that it was releasing a browser AI to help users interact with the web. Aria’s current chat interface directly talks with users. The AI-based service will become increasingly more integrated into Opera in future releases, natively integrated to help you accomplish cross-browser tasks.”
Microsoft Edge features resemble the new sidebar. In March, Microsoft Edge included a sidebar Bing AI chatbot. Brave, which launched summarization functions in its search engine earlier this year, is also experimenting with AI-powered browser features.
