Gamers have been receiving good news about brand new upcoming games from this year’s E3, but what some don’t know is that E3 also unveils brand new gaming gear and technology suited for gamers everywhere. Headsets, keyboards, hard drives, controllers, and even speakers, E3 has an interesting lineup of gaming technology this year that gamers can’t wait to get their hands on.
The LucidSound-LS15X Xbox One In-Ear Contour Gaming Headset is one of the brand new headsets at E3, this headset connects directly to your Xbox One and has a built in microphone and speakers located in the neck piece, as well as a pair of ear buds connected to it, the headset works on PC as well and is expected to ship this winter, for those of you who aren’t into large over ear headphones this headset may be perfect for you.
For those of you who do enjoy over ear headphones and are looking to purchase a new pair, the Thresher Ultimates, or the Turtle Beach-Stealth Series Wireless Headsests may be what you’re looking for. The Thresher Ultimates are a wireless headset with a high frequency range of any headset currently available, and come with 50mm drivers all styled into a suspension band design, it even comes with an audio base station that doubles as a stand and are available for $250 and compatible with the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The Turtle Beach-Stealth Series Wireless Headsests, come in two sets the stealth 600 series and the stealth 700 series, the Xbox One versions are able to connect wirelessly while the PS4 version uses a dongle (a small piece of technology that connects to another device to give it additional functions) these headsets are available at retail prices of $99 for the Stealth 600 series and $149 for the Stealth 700 series.
A personal favorite of mine is are the 8Bitdo’s TwinCube Bluetooth Speakers for the Nintendo Switch these speakers are small but powerful speakers that can connect to the Nintendo switch via Bluetooth or AUX cord, there are even D-pads on the top the speakers which as of now serve no known functionality but we can expect to learn more of these features in the future.
Logitech has announced a new Powerplay Wireless Mouse Charging System with “Lightspeed tech” a new feature in the wireless mice to ensure that they are constantly connected to the PC, the Powerplay system is designed to keep the mice charged through the use of inductive charging that keeps the mice charged and wire free, the mice will be available for e-sports gameplay as well. Microsoft has announced that this holiday season they are releasing an Xbox Duke Controller a large controller for nostalgic gamers (with large hands) who want to go back to the days of the original Xbox. These are only a few of the many types of technology released this year at E3 and with more still in store from the gaming convention, gamers can expect announcements of other new gadgets for their gaming needs. Happy gaming!
