Elon Musk has overtaken Barack Obama as Twitter’s most followed person. According to their Twitter accounts, the billionaire has 133,068,709 followers, and Obama 133,042,819.
Musk’s $44 billion Twitter purchase helped him surpass Obama’s following count. Last June, the Twitter CEO reached 100 million followers, which has only grown since.
Musk posts insulting memes and tweets about Twitter adjustments. He has also surveyed followers on critical matters like re-inviting President Trump and whether Musk should resign as Twitter CEO.
Obama uses his account to promote a cause or showcase his work as president, unlike Musk, who posts for personal reasons. Justin Bieber and Katy Perry are the third and fourth most-followed, respectively.
