Samsung Galaxy S20 might come sooner than in 2028. A new leak suggests that Samsung is going to jump from Samsung 11 to Samsung S20.
This rumor has become even more exciting as there might not be a Samsung Galaxy S20e in 2020. According to the leak from case-maker Schnailcase, the company would start with Galaxy S20 and then offer Galaxy S20 Ultra and galaxy S20 Plus as higher-end models.
The details of the new leak consist of the names of the phones along with their screen sizes. The founder of Schnailcase also tweeted about it.
The Galaxy S10 lineup had around four phones in total. The Galaxy S10e was the lowest end phone, whereas the Galaxy S10 5G was the most expensive. Moreover, the much-rumored Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is also coming, which we would see at CES 2020.
Things will change in the 2020 phones as 5G will become common in them. Moreover, they will also contain Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset.
This jump from S10 to S20 is a bit unexpected. However, Microsoft did the same thing when it jumped to Windows 10 out of nowhere. Moreover, Apple skipped the iPhone 9 in its flagship phones. Furthermore, the new Xbox was named Xbox 360, instead of Xbox 2.
However, Samsung’s shift from four phones to just three is quite interesting. This is because the company plans to introduce 5G in all the phones. Moreover, all the phones will contain the Snapdragon 865 chipset. This would end the need to make a single Galaxy S20 5G phone.
The Galaxy S20 will become the new flagship model. It will have a less refined design with a 6.2-inch display. However, it will be cheaper and will give you the Galaxy S10e experience. Thus, Galaxy S20 Plus would be in place of both S10 and S10 Plus with a 6.7-inch display. People who want the best experience should go for the Samsung S20 ultra with a 6.9-inch display. However, it will be the most expensive Samsung 2020 phone.
The collapse of Samsung S11e follows a similar strategy to Samsung’s competitor Apple. Apple followed the same approach when it replaced the iPhone XR with the iPhone 11. This was a cheaper smartphone as compared to iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. However, both iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 11 Pro offered more features.
