Robin Li and Eric Xu founded Baidu in January 2000. Robin Li launched Baidu in 2000 after developing RankDex in 1996.

Baidu provides a Chinese search engine and Baidu Maps. In addition, Baidu offers 57 search and community services, including Baidu Baike, Baidu Wangpan, and Baidu Tieba.

On Friday, Robin Li, CEO of Chinese search engine giant Baidu (9888. HK), announced that the business would “very soon” formally introduce Ernie 3.5, a generative AI large-language model that will power Baidu’s ChatGPT-like app Ernie Bot and enhance its search engine.

Two months after Ernie Bot’s initial public debut to mixed reviews, Li announced one of China’s most prominent technology forums: the Zhongguancun Forum.

Since then, a restricted group of businesses and customers have been asked to test Ernie Bot and other products powered by the company’s generative AI large-language model and provide feedback.
