Pokémon Go is the first augmented reality app that has become a household name. The game is still quite popular, two years after its launch. Moreover, the continuous updates of the game keep users glued to their phones and hit the streets. Although it’s not as popular as it was back in 2016, it still has many new ways to improve the user’s experience.

Niantic is continuously introducing brand new features, and all community events are going strong. Let’s see the various updates, news, and rumors about Pokémon Go.

Updates:

Extra Storage:

The main problem with the game was that there was limited in-game storage space, which was quite irritating for users. However, the good news is that the company has improved the overall in-game storage space. Now, different players can store around 2,500 items and 3000 Pokémon. However, the extra storage space isn’t for free. To get an extra 50 spaces for items or Pokémon, you will be charged 200 PokéCoins.

Niantic Wayfarer:

Niantic has announced that its Wayfarer tool will now be available for Pokémon Go players with level 40 and above. This tool will allow the users to give nominations for Pokéshops and Gyms, which will open up new places to play. Moreover, all the players can review the nominations. Niantic also introduced some Gym Features and Raid Battles, back in 2017.

Pokémon available in more places:

Niantic has confirmed that they have now distributed the Pokémon evenly throughout the world. In areas with a dense Pokémon population, players are going to find them spread out. On the other hand, more Pokémon will appear where the Pokémon population was extremely low.

Events:

Holiday Event:

It is entitled Go Buddy Adventure and will make it possible for players to interact with their Buddy Pokémon through the game’s AR camera. Moreover, the mode is going to be cross-platform, meaning that it won’t matter whether you are an Android user or not.

Niantic has stated that they are going to introduce a new feature, GO Battle, next year. It will build the current battle systems. According to Niantic, the players will walk to get entry into the League.
