iOS 18.4 Is Out Now with Apple Intelligence-Powered Priority Notifications

Apple has officially rolled out iOS 18.4, bringing with it a suite of enhancements — most notably, a new feature powered by Apple Intelligence: priority notifications.

According to Apple’s patch notes, priority notifications are designed to surface the most important alerts to the top of your Home Screen’s notification stack, ensuring users don’t miss critical messages or updates that need immediate attention. The system uses on-device intelligence to decide which notifications deserve to be prioritized.

This feature is just one of several ways Apple is further integrating its Apple Intelligence framework across devices. With iOS 18.4, Apple Intelligence is also now available in the EU on iPhones and iPads, marking a major expansion of the AI-powered ecosystem in compliance with European regulations.

Alongside iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4 and macOS Sequoia 15.4 have also been released, bringing Apple Intelligence to a broader range of devices. The AI now supports a wide array of languages, including:

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Portuguese (Brazil)

  • Spanish

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Simplified Chinese

  • Localized English for Singapore and India

Apple Intelligence is also now available on the Vision Pro, via the new visionOS 2.4 update. As part of this release, Apple has introduced a Vision Pro companion app for iOS, making it easier for users to discover and manage content for the headset.

These updates are part of Apple’s broader push to deeply integrate AI into its ecosystem while expanding accessibility and regional compatibility.
