Massive OnePlus 8 leak reveals almost all specs of all three models

OnePlus 7

There is a lot of buzz surrounding the new phones in 2020. One of the most hyped phones is the OnePlus 8, and it may be introduced as a ‘Lite’ variant. However, the mystery of these phones may now be over because a huge leak has told us about the tech present inside all three phones.

We have obtained this leak from the Chinese social media platform Weibo, in which a user posted all the specs list. However, no one knows where this information came from. Moreover, this is only a specs list, and we don’t have any information about the design. So, we can’t say whether the OnePlus 8 will be like the 7 Pro or something different.

Let’s take a look at all the three OnePlus 8 models and know what we are going to expect:

  1. OnePlus 8 Pro:

OnePlus 8 Pro is the biggest phone of the three models. According to the leak, it’s going to have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3180 x 1440. Moreover, it will have a refresh rate of 120Hz, which is more than the 90Hz of the OnePlus 7T Pro.

The camera array has only three snappers, so it isn’t a big step up from the previous models. They seem to be 60MP, 13MP, and 16MP. The last two are going to be ultra-wide angle and telephoto sensors.

On the front side, there is a 32MP camera. There is also a Time-of-Flight sensor, which will create an accurate blur in selfies. Moreover, its battery capacity is going to be 4,500mAh. The leak also reveals that the chipset will be a Snapdragon 865. Samsung Galaxy S11 is also going to have this chip. Moreover, the phone will be a 5G device.

2. OnePlus 8:

The device looks to have a smaller screen of 6.44 inches with an AMOLED panel. The resolution is going to be 2400 x 1080, with a refresh rate of 90Hz. This is more than the 60Hz present in most smartphones.

The cameras are going to have 60MP, 12MP, and 16MP sensors. There is also a 32MP front camera. However, it isn’t going to have a ToF sensor joining it.

According to the leak, the battery is going to be 4,000mAh. It is just 500mAh lower than the OnePlus 8 Pro. However, it is a smaller phone, so it’s going to last longer. It is also going to have a Snapdragon 865 along with 5G capabilities; however, we aren’t sure about it.

3. OnePlus 8 Lite:

This phone is a new entry to the OnePlus range. This phone is a part of the company’s effort to remain in the mid-range market.

The OnePlus 8 Lite screen is going to be 6.4 inches, which is similar to the non-Lite. Moreover, it’s going to have an AMOLED panel having a resolution of 2400 x 1080. It could be possible that the screen here is going to be the same as the flagship model.

However, the cameras are lagging, and consist of a 48MP main sensor and the 12MP and 16MP snappers. Therefore, the Lite doesn’t have the 60MP camera, as in other devices. Moreover, on the front, there is a 16MP camera.

Regarding its battery, it is 4,000 mAh. At this point, it looks the same as OnePlus 8. However, it isn’t going to feature a Snapdragon 865; it will have a MediaTek 1000 processor. This processor is weaker than Snapdragon 865.

In crux, there are minor differences between all the three phones. However, we won’t hear an official word until the MWC 2020, which is the world’s largest mobile event.
