After the EU industry director, Thierry Breton, demanded a prompt response from Meta (META.O) about its content aimed at children, Meta and the EU agreed to a stress test on the EU’s online content laws for July.

“Productive discussion with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg in Menlo Park on EU digital rules: DSA, DMA & AI Act,” Breton tweeted, adding that 1,000 Meta staff members are working on the DSA. The discussion was about EU digital standards.

In June, Breton warned Meta that the company had until August 25 to demonstrate its plans to comply with European Union online content legislation known as the Digital Services Act (DSA), or it would face severe penalties.
