From April 15, Twitter’s For You page will only show verified posts, according to Elon Musk.
The corporation announced it would “wind down” its old verified program and remove historical checkmarks by April 1.
Twitter Blue users who pay $8 monthly will get the contentious blue checkmark.
The app’s For You feed(Opens in a new tab) is now the default view and only Twitter Blue subscribers will appear here. Musk arbitrarily restricted poll voting to verified accounts.
These Twitter features are now exclusive to Twitter Blue subscribers. Musk calls these choices “the only practical method to address sophisticated AI bot swarms taking control.”
During Musk’s leadership, Twitter has seen several modifications, updates, and glitches. Legacy checkmark removal may damage credibility and spread misinformation (Opens in a new tab).
