Verified Twitter users get encrypted messages early.

On Thursday, Twitter, Inc. opened its encrypted chat service to Blue verification customers.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, announced the service was live for verified users of the most recent app version on the social networking platform he owns and operates.

Twitter Blue, the paid tier that serves as the foundation for verification on the network, maybe had for as little as $8 per month or $84 per year.

The business stated in a blog post that “the standard should be, if someone puts a gun to our heads, we still can’t access your messages” about Direct Messages, echoing a statement made by Elon Musk.
