Apple has opened preorders for HomeView, a new smart display designed to bring connected home controls, communication and artificial intelligence features into one device. Priced at $299, the display will launch on November 13, 2026, and marks a significant step in Apple’s expanding smart home strategy.
A Central Hub for Smart Home Controls
HomeView features a seven-inch screen with a rounded-square design that resembles an oversized Apple Watch mounted on a speaker base. The device is intended to serve as a central control point for compatible smart home technology while offering several everyday functions.
Users can view recipes, manage music playback, make FaceTime calls and access a range of widgets directly from the display. Support for Thread and Matter connectivity also allows HomeView to control compatible smart home accessories.
Apple is offering the device in multiple colors, with buyers able to choose between a speaker-base configuration and a wall-mounted option. The speaker base includes a custom down-firing woofer and two passive radiators designed to enhance sound performance. Both configurations cost $299, although the wall-mounted version does not include the additional speaker hardware.

Siri AI Brings More Personalised Assistance
Artificial intelligence is a central part of HomeView’s functionality. Like the newly announced Apple TV 4K and HomePod Mini 2, the display places considerable emphasis on Siri and Apple Intelligence.
When connected to an iPhone or iPad that supports Apple Intelligence, HomeView enables users to interact with Siri through natural-language voice commands. Its AI capabilities can also surface information from personal messages, emails and other content, extending its role beyond conventional smart home controls.
The device combines these features with a screen-based interface, giving users a way to manage household technology and access information without relying solely on a phone or tablet.
HomeView’s November launch positions it as a potential holiday-season purchase. More broadly, the product signals Apple’s ambition to make its ecosystem a more prominent part of everyday home life by bringing smart home management, personal assistance and entertainment together in a single display.
