Meta Platforms (META.O) announced the debut of two new AI-based capabilities for video editing. These features might be used to create videos added to Facebook or Instagram.
The first one is called Emu Video, a short movie that is only four seconds long. It uses a caption, photo, or image as a cue and then pairs it with a description. The second one, Emu Edit, enables users to modify or edit films with more straightforward text prompts.
The new tools are an evolution of the older technology known as Emu, which produces graphics in response to text cues.
Emu is the foundation of generative artificial intelligence technology as an AI picture editing tool for Instagram. These tools let users snap a shot and modify the visual style or the photo’s backdrop.
Since the debut of OpenAI’s ChatGPT around the end of the previous year, businesses and enterprises have been flocking in droves to the young generative AI market to gain new capabilities and improve business processes.
It is becoming one of the primary focus points for the social media giant as it seeks to compete with other giants such as Microsoft (MSFT.O), Alphabet’s Google (GOOGL.O), and Amazon (AMZN.O). The social media giant has been making remarkable progress in AI, making it one of its most essential points.
