Samsung released the Peloton Watch App for Galaxy Watch5 and Watch4 smartwatches today. In addition, smartwatches may be connected to Peloton Bike, Bike+, Tread, Row, and Guide to display heart rate during workouts.

After selecting a workout on Peloton equipment and opening the Peloton Watch App on their Galaxy Watch, a pairing request will display. Additionally, users may touch “connect” during a workout to view their heart rate on Peloton equipment or Wear OS. Samsung claims this new connectivity helps customers track exercise objectives in real-time.

Peloton added Galaxy Watch support a year after adding Apple Watch connection to all machines.

Samsung believes technology should make people happier and healthier. “We share that value with Peloton,” said Samsung Electronics America SVP of Mobile Experience Janet Lee. “This agreement represents our commitment to offering consumers a fully tailored workout experience. These new features assist customers in reaching their fitness objectives by showing their progress in greater detail.

Today’s announcement follows Samsung’s recent agreement with Natural Cycles to bring temperature-based period monitoring to the Galaxy Watch5.
