YouTube Channel Game Grumps Announces Unique Dating Simulator

Popular YouTube channel Game Grumps has announced that they developed a new, unique dating simulator named Dream Daddy, according to the Game Grumps official Twitter account.

The game, announced (purposefully) on Father’s Day, is a dating simulator where you play as a dad who just recently moved to a new town with his daughter. The town, Maple Bay, is also full of single dads like yourself. Your goal is to woo the other dads and hopefully find the right dad for you.

Dream Daddy consists of seven different dads to pursue (Teacher Dad, Goth Dad, and Bad Dad are some of the ones listed) and multiple endings for every dad. Also, players can use a dad character creator so that the player can formulate their dad character to look the way they want them to. This isn’t a normal feature in other dating simulators, which gives me personally more of an incentive to buy my own copy (because who doesn’t love gay dad dating simulators?).

During dates, players will be able to play mini games and micro games in hopes to win over their future lover and complete a variety of side quests throughout the game. Of course, the cherry on top is lots, and lots, of Dad puns (“Like, to the point where it made us all uncomfortable,” according to the game’s Steam page) and other secrets that can be seen when the game comes out. More information on the game can be found on Dream Daddy‘s official Steam page.

Dream Daddy is created by Vernon Shaw, an editor for Game Grumps and Leighton Gray, a game developer, illustrator and comic artist according to her official website. The game features illustrations from artists such as Shanen Pae, J.N. Wiedle, Anna Pan, Tyson Hesse, Ellen Allsop, Evan Palmer, Ego Rodriguez and others. Game Grumps and friends will be voicing characters in the game and it also has an original score created by Jesse Cale.

Game Grumps is a popular YouTube channel with nearly four million subscribers and over three billion views. It consists of main show “GameGrumps,” hosted by Arin “Egoraptor” Hanson and Dan “Danny Sexbang” Avidan who talk to each other while playing video games.

Other shows include “Doodle Doods,” which is hosted by Ross Donovan and features different artists who show off their illustrations or animations, “Game Grumps Animated,” which shows off animated shorts created by community members, “Grumpcade,” which features other members or friends of Game Grumps while they talk and play video games and “World Famous,” a new shorts series.

The Game Grumps YouTube channel and show was originally created back in 2012 and used to be hosted by Arin and former Game Grumps host JonTron. After JonTron left the show back in 2013, Dan took over as the new host and has been on the show for four years.

Dan is in a band named Ninja Sex Party with former professor and current Game Grumps editor Brian along with being a host on Game Grumps. Dan, Arin and Brian are also in a band together named Starbomb. You can watch Ninja Sex Party music videos on the Ninja Sex Party official YouTube channel and can watch Starbomb music videos on Egoraptor’s official YouTube channel.

Dream Daddy will be released on July 13 and is currently only announced for the PC. Fans can purchase the game on Steam or can purchase a physical limited collector’s edition for $29.99 on The Yetee.

For more information on Dream Daddy, fans can follow the Dream Daddy official Twitter account and can find official Dream Daddy merchandise on The Yetee.
